There was on I loaned my heart to.
Who led me on a trail so long.
But then she led me off a cliff, telling me
It wasnt something I did wrong..
Hanging onto a Branch of Hope,
Yelling for her to cast out her hand.
She turned her head, the branch broke loose.
And my fallen body was broken against The Land.

Laying Facedown in the dirt.
With too much confusion to breathe, or move, or blink;
I pondered on why she turned away.
Wondering How Much Deeper I would sink.

The Ground was cold.
My body-still..
And as all my senses failed,
my thoughts were that of an absent mind-
set forth from the betrayal..

Theres no returning to where we started.
Though she's someone I've always admired.
We remain friends; halfway parted..
And look at each other through a wall of fire.

I'd die Ten Times to sit beside her.
Or Twenty Times to make her laugh..
But she pretends she's a shattered window..

And doesnt think I can repair her broken glass...
